This makes standard heat-seal wrapping—where seal jaw temperatures of 120-180°C transfer heat through the packaging film to the product—completely unsuitable for white chocolate. No heat is applied to the package, and no thermal energy reaches the product. This zero-heat process completely eliminates the chocolate bloom that appears as unattractive white surface discoloration when white chocolate is thermally stressed. The ambient conditions of the wrapping area are also controlled: temperature monitoring with alarms ensures the production environment stays within white chocolate's narrow comfort range (typically 18-22°C, below 55% relative humidity). The product handling surfaces are polished and low-friction because white chocolate's light color makes surface scuffs and marks highly visible—a minor surface abrasion that would be invisible on dark chocolate is obvious on white chocolate. The infeed conveyor uses non-marking belt material, and the forming box guides are coated with a non-stick, non-abrasive surface treatment. Registered print film handling maintains branded package graphics in alignment, with the optical registration system configured for the cold-seal film's registration mark characteristics. For white chocolate assortments and gift products, tear-tape provides clean consumer opening that complements the premium product positioning.
