ECHO machines are configured for high-barrier films (metallized or aluminum oxide-coated) with WVTR below 1 g/m²/day. Pellet breakage is the second concern: broken pellets create dust that contaminates seal areas and represents product waste (dust cannot be fed to fish effectively). The machine's product pathway uses low-velocity filling, radiused internal surfaces, and minimal drop heights to preserve pellet integrity. A dust extraction system captures airborne particles at the fill point. For the large fill weights common in aquaculture (typically 5-25kg for commercial farm supply), net-weight filling with bulk-and-dribble feed achieves the fill accuracy that minimizes costly feed giveaway. The machine construction uses stainless steel for durability and cleanability in the feed mill environment.
