They must be isolated so they don't entangle with hooks from adjacent lures during shipping, and they must be protected so consumers don't injure themselves handling the package. The thermoformed blister creates individual cavities for each hook set, physically separating them within the package. The blister also protects the lure's painted finish—crankbaits have detailed, multi-color paint schemes that are easily scratched during shipping if the lure rubs against packaging. The non-contact cavity design suspends the lure within the blister without surfaces touching the painted body. The clear blister plastic showcases the lure's color pattern, which is the primary factor in angler purchase decisions—different crankbait colors are effective under different water conditions, and anglers select based on visible color. The printed backing card carries brand graphics, product specifications (diving depth, weight, size), and the standardized hanging hole for retail pegboard display.
